Hey all, this site is still on hiatus for now. I’ve been focusing on other projects for the time being! As previously mentioned, I had some health problems a few weeks ago. I went to see my spiritual mentor, and not only did he give me an amazing Light healing, but also gave me a wonderful affirmation to say each day, as many times as I can. (It’s kind of long, so I’m working on saying it at least 10 times per day.) I’m also doing a visualization each day every time it crosses my mind. I’m happy to report that my energy levels are literally through the roof these days and I’m filled with inspiration. However, much of the inspiration has had to do with many of my other entertainment-based sites.
I will hopefully be back here soon to write again however, as soon as I feel inspired to. Other than the affirmation and visualizations I do each day, I’ve eased up on the other spiritual things for a while (as recommended by my mentor).
In the meantime, I hope you all look around and check out my older posts – especially if you are visiting for the first time.
And once again I have to post this! If there is one thing I know I am supposed to pass on to others, it is this: Remember: all of those around you are mirrors of you and your thoughts. Treat them and yourself kindly and try to learn what you can from them – even the ones that annoy and/or hurt you most. This of course doesn’t mean you have to keep people in your life that cause you harm. Sometimes it is best to take a step back and view the situation from a distance, especially when there is ongoing pain, resentment and problems.
But it’s the ones that hurt you most or annoy you the most that you have the most to learn from. Because everything that someone does to us, we do to ourselves already in some way or another. Or to others. It takes an open, honest heart and willingness to see our own faults to face this truth. Once we do – without judgment – the most incredible awarenesses begin to open to us.
Anyway, once again I’ll leave you all with this quote. I’m not Catholic, but this quote is actually quite universal. Especially considering what I wrote above, about us all being mirrors of each other… and how each of us is a reflection of God anyway. When you realize that your arguments and fights with others are simply arguments and fights with an aspect or part of yourself, a new world opens up to you…
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.-Mother Teresa
That Mother Teresa quote is really powerful and mind-expanding, especially when you consider the Truth that we are all bright sparks of Divine Light walking around. So in dealing with each person we come across each day, we are, in essence, dealing with God…
Be back soon, I hope.

Rian,
I just wanted to say that you’re such a wonderful, kind, warm person and such a luminous soul. Thank you for being you. I originally got to know your sites through The Skinny Website during a very dark eating disordered time in my life, but I am now recovered, can focus on much better things (such as my health, spiritual growth and helping others) and have been reading this blog of yours. You bring so much joy and light into the world. Thank you.
I hope you don’t feel too bad about The Skinny Website – you really do not have to be perfect. And on the other hand, I think if you want to, you might have a great opportunity to show people examples of healthy bodies, too, and promote health and body acceptance no matter what the size of the body.
Lots of love and hugs
Anni
