Many people have the gift of Clairaudience, or ‘Spiritual Hearing’, however, some are more easily able to tap into it than others. My own gift of spiritual hearing started making itself known last year and has continued to strengthen in recent months. In the past few weeks, it has gotten so obvious that I not only ‘hear’ it, but feel it. Perhaps my spiritual and mental disciplines are bringing it out more, or perhaps it is being affected by the Unity Consciousness that is taking place on this planet. Whatever the case, I have received clear intuitive guidance lately along with an accompanied gut feeling over decisions I’ve had to make.
One of the very clear messages that has come through this week – yet again – is that I should not be eating cheese/dairy. Now, I have received this same guidance in at least one dream and also intuitively a few times during and after meditations in recent months. However, this week, it was so clear that there was no way I could misinterpret it or ignore it. See, after trying veganism again for a short period, I added back in eggs and cheese and went back to lacto/ovo vegetarianism. However, I have craved cheese constantly throughout this time. It seems there is no middle ground with me and dairy – I appear to be literally addicted to it.
So after a week or two of liberal cheese-eating, two days ago I received the following message loud and clear: “You should not be eating dairy”. Before I could even ask ‘why?’ (as is common with these dialogues – they seem to anticipate your questions in advance and will start answering questions before you ask them), the reply came immediately: “Dairy is a non-food.” Before I could ask ‘why?’ again, the answer came, “because of the casein protein, hormones, antibiotics and way that the animals are treated.” My mind wandered over towards organic dairy at that point, but I was led to understand that even cows that produce organic dairy are occasionally fed antibiotics (as they get sick too), and that milk is chock full of casein protein, which is also used as glue to hold furniture together, among other things. Milk also has feel-good chemicals like morphine in it (originally intended for baby cows to encourage them to continue drinking their mother’s milk). Also, by the time milk goes through all of the rigorous pasteurization, it is basically devoid of vitamins and minerals. Lastly, it was revealed clearly to me that the over-population of cows in this country that are used for both dairy and meat is completely unethical, unnatural and cruel.
Wow. Trust me, I did NOT want to hear this. Granted, I’ve read all of this stuff in various books and websites over the years. However, this was the first time I was given this information directly from within in such a clear manner. I could/can no longer ignore it. I do not want to ignore it. However, the cheese-addict within started getting sad.
So, as of today – May 7, 2011, I am back on a vegan eating plan. I fully intend to stick to it this time with the rare exception of when someone makes me a meal that contains a little bit of dairy and/or eggs. No meat whatsoever.
On that note, I am going on a road trip to California with my sister and niece. We are leaving tomorrow, and I have packed many raw vegan food bars, apples, soy milk and other vegan snacks. I’m looking forward to being in Southern California – they cater to veganism and organic eating quite extensively out there (well, depending on where you are at). I will be visiting the Los Angeles and Irvine Whole Foods markets, which are both rather large and well-stocked.
So, what has your intuition been telling you lately? Listen closely. It may have a special message for you.
