I posted this on my Facebook today, and it pertains to this post! “A good friend reminded me today that making choices for the Good/Light in life is more effective than choosing ‘not’ to do something because we think it’s ‘bad’.

This past weekend, I received intuitive information (during a reading) concerning my thyroid. It turns out that it has been inflamed. Thankfully I also received the reasons why it is inflamed, plus suggestions on how to heal it.

Anyone who has read this blog for a while knows that I believe and know that thought is cause, and there is a thought pattern behind every single illness. This is certainly true for my thyroid issue. In Permanent Healing (a book I recommend everyone have a copy of), it states that the thought pattern/mental attitude for thyroid issues is simply, ‘Misuse of Will’. Meaning, I have not been exercising will and will power towards goals. I’ve been pretty honest about this issue in this blog, as you’ll see in previous posts!

The healing suggestion for thyroid conditions is this: “Picture a goal – move toward your goal with action and determination. Be purposeful about this, continuing to move forward step after step. This is correct use of will. Make conscious choices.” I received similar advice during the intuitive reading. The conductor (who asked the reporter to scan my thyroid area in the first place because my neck was/is swollen) suggested I say 10 times per day out loud, “I am making the decision to ____________”, then follow through immediately on the decision. I have been doing this since Monday.

The intuitive reading also pointed out other causes for my thyroid inflammation. An ‘overabundance of estrogen’ was one factor, as was the need for me to unite my Self (body, mind spirit as well as align my minds – conscious, subconscious and superconscious). I have decided to once again refrain from dairy but also soy to help balance out my estrogen. And last but not least, my need to express my high ideals in life has contributed to the issue. (I have suspected for some time that many lightworkers are suffering from weight issues for this very reason. Turns out my suspicions are on target!)

The chancellor at the College of Metaphysics (who actually wrote the above mentioned book and was also the conductor during the intuitive reading) also gave me advice on iodine supplements to take along with some dietary suggestions. Funnily enough, his dietary suggestions matched up with what I have been told numerous times in meditations or through intuitive exchange: a diet based mostly on veggies, fruit, grains, some vegetable oils, and some fish. Very little other meat if any. So I’ve decided to implement this advice beginning this week. (I went off my previous vegan diet pretty quickly because I was just unable to stick to it). However there will be a difference… instead of looking at this as ‘cutting out’ certain foods or maintaining a rigid schedule, which has never worked long for me, I am looking at this as a way to do the ‘right’ thing for my body, mind and spirit. Not just for weight loss. Not just for healing a thyroid condition. Each time I make a choice to eat something, it will be with the intention that I’m receiving nutrition and nourishment for my body, mind and spirit.

Visualization is also a very powerful tool for creating our lives the way we want it, so I am going to use it. I am picturing this inner brilliant light of Truth, and I am now making choices to nourish and add to that light with wholesome food choices. So yes, in essence, we can choose a diet ‘free’ from things (dairy, sugar, soy, meat, etc). But it’s the execution of daily choice based on how we ‘want’ to be and how we ‘want’ to eat is most important thing of all.

I will continue to update here as to how this is working. So far so good! A good spiritual friend of mine is doing something similar. She knows that by choosing a diet free from sugar, she is choosing to free up her spirit and energy.

And the continual choosing to do things throughout my day is putting me into a new perspective and frame of mind – one where I am actually creating my day and life, as opposed to just going through the motions for no purpose, as I’ve done most of my life.

Perhaps this is one reason why obesity and thyroid conditions are out of control with many people – because we have gotten complacent in our lives and don’t make any real conscious decisions to do things. Instead, we go through the motions.

So I challenge you… what is one choice that you can make today to improve your life, just a little? Figure it out, then start choosing it!

  1. Thanks for the update about your thyroid and how you plan to get rid of the inflammation! Very inspirational. I very very much need to eat healthy and have more will power too. I weigh the most I’ve ever weighed in my life right now, and boy does it suck. There have been times when I do eat healthily and exercise daily and I’ve been at a healthy weight, so I know I can do it again!
Interesting you believe we are even responsible for our illnesses. Hmm. I can see how that’s true for some things, but I don’t know about everything. I’ll explain why when I email you.
    Sorry I haven’t wrote you yet, but don’t worry I didn’t forget! ;-)

  2. [...] If there are any vegan (or ‘mostly’ vegan) people out there with suggestions on satiating and healthy organic foods, please let me know! I would love to hear from you. I do plan to add in some non-vegan foods today, perhaps a vitatop muffin and salmon or ocean perch for dinner. (Due to some intuitive advice received earlier this week, I stopped taking iodine supplements, so I’m due to eat some fish or seaweed today. To see the reason I was taking iodine supplements in the first place, click here). [...]

  3. Hello! Just want to say thank you for this interesting article! =) Peace, Joy.
