A little puppy love goes a long way!
A sweet little brown puppy came into my life recently. The current owner (who cannot keep him) intended to give him to me as a gift, but I found out that the particular breed is not allowed in my apartment complex.
However, I have had chances to go and visit the puppy a couple of times since. And what a gift he was and is:
(The first picture is from when he was a few weeks younger. No, that is not me in the background holding him. The bottom picture from very recently).
I know he just looks like an adorable puppy. But I have had such loving experiences with him. For example, when I went to visit him, he came up to me, all excited to see me (even though he presumably didn’t know me?!) and licked me to death. That day he also decided to take a nap next to me, and I felt the need to stroke him lovingly. I swear, just an experience like that was so special to me. I felt his love so strongly. It healed me, to an extent. Occasionally he would wake up while I was stroking him, smile contentedly and go back to sleep.
There is almost nothing so precious to me as gently and lovingly stroking a sleeping puppy.
Animals are such a blessing to us! If I had it my way, I would have a big ranch-like house and take care of dogs, cats, horses and cows. They are all so special.
So I ask, what animal has touched your heart recently? Do you think it was an accident? Because it was not.
Update on the puppy: I found the puppy a good home with loving people who will treat him right. I will probably never see him again, but that’s OK. I am just glad he will be taken care of.
